Who We Are

We are a conservative Southern Baptist Church, affliated with the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, that is a family in Christ. We enjoy the fellowship we have with other churches that are members of this Convention and we join with them in a combined effort to support Missions and plant churches as God directs.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to reach our community, state and world with the Word of God and provide a means to simplify the complexities of today's life by making God the central focus in daily living.  Only then, will the vision of eternal life become paramount to earthly things.

Our Purpose

The purpose of our church is summarized in a single sentence based on two key scriptures:  "We believe a Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a Great Church."

 The Great Commandment is found in Matthew 22:36-40:  "Jesus said, 'Love the Lord'  your God with all your heart . . . soul . . . and mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'  All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments."

 The Great Commission is found in Matthew 28:19-20:  "Jesus said, 'Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."  Doctrinal Statement
